How do I book an appointment?

GP appointments

  • We offer a daily telephone triage & and same day telephone consultations are booked by contacting the surgery between the hours of 08.30am-10.30am every weekday morning.  The reception team member will ask you for some information on your presenting problem before allocating your call to a GP
  • Calls can be prioritised by the GP's in terms of clinical need but will always be returned as promptly as possible throughout the day
  • Following a telephone consultation if the GP feels you require a face-to-face appointment then this will be arranged
  • Similarly, relevant tests & investigations may be arranged after discussion with the GP
  • The appointments line may be closed earlier than 10.30am if on the day demand is high
  • Afternoon calls are reserved for urgent / emergency calls only
  • There are a number of pre-bookable telephone and face-to-face appointments for non-urgent problems.  Depending on availability, these can be booked up to a fortnight in advance by speaking with a member of the reception team at any time
  • If you are coming for a pre-arranged appointment with a respiratory illness the GP may ask you to wear a mask or face covering.

Nurse Appointments are all pre-bookable face to face consultations.  Please contact reception.
